Gentrification.

Oh boy, where do I get started. Gentrification is all but negative. Your rent increases due to all the people moving into your city. You have no choice but to move out, most of the time, farther away from your job, away from your friends.  Your daily life just took a dive. Now you have to drive one or more hours to get to work. You have four children and you come home later and later because your home is hours away. You are living on the line. One interruption like a job loss or a rent hike could screw you over even more. I am talking on behalf of many people who live in our area and many of my mom's fellow co-workers who have faced this or are currently facing this unfortunate situation. Teachers at Crittenden Middle School brought this up during a board meeting. They simply could not afford to live in the area. Later on they stopped providing after-school help to students. Many of them left, leaving the school with lower quality teachers. This is only getting worse. The prices are only increasing. We might think that there is a breaking point somewhere, but we have not attained that yet and the current situation is simply abnormal. What's your take?
