TACO BELL

After watching The Weight Of The Nation, it really put all of my eating habits into perspective. all though I've been a vegetarian for going on 6 years and mainly only eat fruits and vegetables; i still feel as if my habits are worsening due to the fact that i really like taco bell and showing taco bell in the documentary didn't make it any better.

I ALSO SPENT $25 ON ONE THING FROM WHOLE FOODS SO THANKS 4 MAKING ME BROKE

  1. LOL. Nobody made you go to Whole Foods and spend $40. :-) This documentary definitely made me reflect on my eating habits and choices as well. I feel like eat pretty healthy, and am, healthy in most respects although my body doesn't necessarily look and fit as it could be. I feel fortunate that I have learned healthy ways to eat and have the money to be able to buy healthy, whole food that is good for me. As someone who has struggled with my weight my entire life, I do know the challenge that many of the people in the documentary experienced. It is such a cruel issue to have. Unlike some addictions, and I do believe that for many people, obesity is the result of food addictions, you can't just "stop" eating. So the challenge to make healthy choices and avoid things like sugar (which companies put in EVERYTHING) is enormous. I think the government needs to regulate the amount of sugar that companies can put into foods. And they need to regulate sugar like it is cocaine. Studies show that the brain on "sugar" has the same activity as the brain on cocaine. Crazy!

  4. As we get older the weight we put on is only going to get harder and harder to lose. But you're right!!! The healthier places/food choices AKA Nekter like we use to go to, are way more expensive and the food industry is pretty much making it easier for everyone to pick the unhealthier option.
