Race Card
A whole city outraged with the LAPD over racism and police brutality against African Americans after the Rodney King beating in 1991. A sense of outrage lied with the whole African American community against the LAPD played a huge favor in OJ and the defense team. A jury packed with 10 African Americans already shared a bias against the LAPD, and especially in the Los Angeles community where the trial was moved too, instead of Santa Monica. Atomically advantage given to the defense with a bias against police and a community who has OJ's back even if evidence pointed toward him. A rare case where being black may have helped OJ in this case and kept him "innocent".

I just have a quick question of how much the race card is in play now as it was before. We have seen with the recent police shootings in places like Ferguson and LA still that theres is much racial and civil unrest between the police force and the people of different races (particularly African Americans). The leniency that OJ faced in his trial because of the "race card" is also seen in reverse at many of the recent trials. The man who shot Mike Brown from Ferguson, a white police officer, was found not guilty, and many believe it is because of race. This "race card" works both ways, and while many people of the population may believe it was used wrong in OJ's case, it is also used wrong for the advantage of white people in other cases.
