Album Recommendation

Throughout our time at Global, I constantly remember the idea that both Mr. Stewart and Ms. B, encourage us to look at different sources in order to better our own sense of learning from an individual standpoint. Recently, one of my favorite hip hop artists, Aesop Rock, had released an album named Impossible Kid. I would encourage anyone to listen to this album, if they enjoy riveting tales of a struggling man's life, as well as a drive to improve their vocabulary. I remember back when we would mention old school albums around the time of the Rodney King discussion, so I see it as important as ever to bring up the value of music, especially from artists that are most well known within the "underground". That being said, there is quite a bit we can learn from people's experiences, and thus we should dig deep into the very idea of musical production, because what better way to become exposed to life experiences, than hearing them through song or melody? The Impossible Kid gives us a fascinating tale of the many facets of Aesop's life, both woebegone and inviting. Mr. Stewart always tells us to think about the things we think about, so maybe we should give this album a listen, to better understand this man's point of view on the broader scale of music both as a therapy, and a life lesson.
