"Birth Order"

In Megan Mckinney's Senior Project Documentary, she researched birth order. She discusses the psychological effect it has on every sibling and how it can heavily impact their personalities. She used her family as the main example. She has one older sister and a younger brother. Megan touched on many characteristics that first born children have due to the pressures of being the oldest child. She described how being the youngest child affects their personality. First born children are often over achieving, driven individuals. The psychologist she interviewed, talked about how the baby of the family tends to have a bigger, more outgoing personality. In my family, I am the youngest of 3 girls. I see Megan's research directly correlate to my family. My oldest sister fits perfectly into her category. She has earned her PhD and Masters degree and is the most driven individual I know. I think I fit into the youngest child category as well. Out of my sisters, I think I am the most outgoing and spoiled. I thoroughly enjoyed Megan's documentary because I could easily relate it to my family.
