Our world's use of excessive soda consumption

The other day in Global, the class was lucky enough to learn about the importance of the harmful effects of Soda consumption. We not only learned about the specific toxic elements and chemicals that play role in the making of Soda, but we additionally touched base on the facts: statistics. It was overwhelming to learn about the amount of liters of soda the average person consumes in our country...170 liters!! America is obviously not the only one who is guilty but Mexico and Chile came in second and third for the largest soda consumption next to the U.S. This made me realize how important it is to teach others of the importance of health and what we choose to put in our bodies. Do not get me wrong, I love pizza and ice cream and candy and cookies as much as the next person but everything in moderation. Living a healthy lifestyle is very important to me and I enjoy nourishing my body with natural and wholesome foods that will enrich and benefit me in the long run the most. From personal experience, I used to, myself, consume an excessive amount of soda but ever since I began devoting my life towards living a healthier lifestyle and focusing on my wellness, I ditched the soft drink and aim to hydrate myself with water, instead!
