Why You Should Register to Vote!

We have all reached or are close to the age at which we begin to truly have a voice in our country's politics and government. And with this year's Presidential race underway, the importance of voter's registration has hit an all time high. With the candidates being as controversial and outspoken as they are, many young people just beginning to get involved in politics find themselves in an overwhelming pool of opinions, speeches, and polls that they may not always understand or agree with. I hear a lot of people say in passing, "I don't want to vote for either one of them so maybe I just won't vote." This way of thinking is completely wrong and is what will eventually lead us to poorer decisions being made for the United States and our government and people. If fewer people vote, that means fewer votes for those who will truly be the best option for our country. It is extremely important that everyone registers to vote so that we can really get our opinions and voices heard as young adults in our country's politics.
