Civil Rights FOR ALL

At the beginning of the school year, we spent time learning about labels and why people are labeled. As we continue this unit on civil rights, I can't help but feel a great amount of frustration toward this country and the labels we use. After years of sacrifice and fighting for their rights, African Americans, women, and homosexuals got what they wanted. If "all men are created equal," and "they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights," why must we prevent human beings from the rights they deserve? Why do humans make these labels and why can't we see each other as equals? Most of all, why do we have to fight the same fight again and again? I just think it's silly.
