"Military's Use of Children" Reaction

This documentary shocked me and disturbed me on a personal level. It's amazing how so much things could be happening outside of the country and how unaware we can be. I think it is not only sad but morally wrong for the El Salvador government to use children in the military, When one of the guy being interviewed said that Fidal's dad is part of the paramilitary rebel group and how his mom has already left the zone, I felt so bad for the boy. Even though he is with others that his age, he is forced to grow up faster than any kids should ever grow up. He is forced to join and to fight with the military. What's upsetting to me is that after the civil war ended, there were so many children that were missing and so many parents and relatives looking for one another. However, so little efforts have been made to help these broken families to reunite. I want to applaud Frida for presenting such a real and heavy topic to our class. It really connects with the global aspect of this course.
