Standardized Schemes
Standardized testing has proven itself to be an unequal evaluation of students ranging from elementary school through high school. Take the SAT and ACT for example. Many people turn to outside learning programs such as tutoring or classes specifically focused on preparing you for the ACT and SAT, and these classes and tutors are very expensive. Statistics show that students who take these classes and use these tutors get much greater scores than people who do not use these assets. What happens to the students who's families can not pay for them to have these recourses? The answer is sad but simple; they just do not do as well on standardized tests. It is a thriving issue in todays society that still remains to be fixed, and it seems as though there is no placement testing now that will allow an equal opportunity for absolutely 100% of students to succeed. I do not have an answer to this issue at the moment, but I believe that another form of evaluation should be looked for in order for this academic equality to be achieved.
