Universitites Hiding the Truth

Sexual assault and rape have always been a problem in Universities, but they also tend to go unheard of by the public and kept a secret. Colleges have been keeping these rape cases undercover because they want to make sure that new students and revenue keeps coming in year after year. They do not want a representation of a "rape school". Hundreds of rape cases per year happen at all universities, and at each university only a few students were expelled for it. It is tough because if the victim does not go to the police to file a rape case before going to the university, the college administration can not do anything to legally help the student, but they can chose to expel the student, which they do not usually do. Universities have repeatedly been accused of not protecting their students from sexual assault, and when these victims are not protected, psychological effects are numerous, especially because these victims are often still on the same campus as the person that raped them. Now in the present day, schools have been really cracking down on sexual assault and rape on their campuses, almost to the point of if you slap a girl you could be labeled with sexual assault. This problem in universities is not abolished, but it is getting better.
