"Faults in the Legal System" Reaction

Amanda's documentary topic was surely interesting. Who could have thought that the 1984 Sentencing Reform Act backfired? I thought that it was shocking that the crime rate actually went up because there were so many prisoners being released early. Not only that, most prisoners do not serve their full sentence before being released. In fact, some of them only serve 5-10% of their actual sentence. I think this is very dangerous because you're letting back bad people into the streets. Like Amanda said, yes our prisons are overloaded, but instead of cramming more prisoners into prison, we should focus on how to change the legal system.
